winter squash

FACTS – Winter Squashes have a hard, thick skin and seeds. The flesh is firmer and requires longer cooking time. They can be prepared by baking, steaming or simmering, but first remove the seeds. Varieties available are Butternut, Pepper/Acorn and Turban Red Squash. They are a breeze to cook with and lend their creamy sweetness to the hardness of Winter’s touch.
